Description
An organic black tea from Rukeri, Rwanda, with a balanced medium body. Gentle cocoa notes are complemented by subtle sweetness, creating a smooth and approachable East African black tea.
The leaves undergo withering, rolling, oxidation and drying. BOP1 stands for Broken Orange Pekoe 1, referring to a smaller broken-leaf grade that infuses quickly and produces a fuller, more expressive cup.
Preparation: 2.5–3 g / 250 ml. Pour over freshly boiled water at 95–100°C and steep for 2–3 minutes. Enjoy pure or with a small splash of milk.
Best enjoyed in the morning or early afternoon, particularly with breakfast or when you want a smooth black tea.
